PROJECT SCOPE:

MLZDESIGN was contracted to assist with a variety of design and visualization services on the renovation of the entrance experience to Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, located in Farmington, PA. The resort sits on an impressive 2,000 acres of beautiful Laurel Highlands terrain and is home to the Pete Dye design Mystic Rock Golf Course and an internationally acclaimed spa and hotel.

The total project work consisted of a extensive reconfiguration of the entrance experience, which included an entirely new entrance drive, additional parking, new Chateau entry court, and entrance signage. MLZDESIGN was initially brought on to develop a 3D model that incorporated the various disciplines concurrent work to help aid project managers and owners in validating costly earth moving decisions on a very tight timeline. The 3D model evolved into shareable online model that was continuously updated by MLZDESIGN and utilized to both large and small scale design moves made sense. As the project evolved MLZDESIGN was also contracted to digitally fabricate sign mock ups, as well as assist with site layout and planting.
